70th Annual Tri-Counties Women’s Bowling Tournament

Ladies, join your friends and teammates for the annual Tri-Counties Tournament on November 2-3, 2019 at Zodo’s – Bowling & Beyond!

Check-in 1 hour prior to start of bowling.

Entries must be received or postmarked  by Saturday, October 26, 2019.

$75 entry

Team $25.00, Doubles $25.00, Singles $25.00, All-Events included if bowling singles, doubles and team. See entry forms for lineage, prize fund and expense breakdown.

USBC Sanctioned Tournament

TEAM CAPTAIN:

Please see the reverse side of the flyer (available below) for your entry into the 70th Annual Tri-Counties Women’s Bowling Tournament to be held in Santa Barbara County.

SCHEDULING:

Teams are scheduled according to receipt of entry. Distance from Tournament City does not give priority.

ENTRY FEE:

$25.00 per bowler, per event. Fees may be remitted by personal check. A $30.00 fee will be charged for all returned checks, plus bank fees. Please make checks payable to SBUSBC.

REFUNDS:

Entry funds shall not be refunded except when the Tri-Counties Tournament Manager notifies entrant(s) of dates and times and a written refusal has been returned to the Tournament Manager within five (5) days of the tournament opening date.

ENTERING AVERAGES & VERIFICATIONS:

Entering averages for the 2019 Tournament shall be as follows (in stated order) and will not be re-rated.

  1. Current Book Average (2019-2020) USBC or Collegiate provided 21 games or more are bowled in one of the Tri-Counties Associations.
  2. Current Winter League Average as of October 15, 2019. Entrant must have at least 15 games bowled as of this date and must be bowled in one of the Tri-Counties Associations
  3. Highest Summer Average For 2019 provided 21 games or more are bowled in one of the Tri-County Associations.
  4. Only averages in the Tri-Counties Associations will be accepted.
  5. USBC Rules 319a(3) and 319c WILL APPLY. USBC Rules 319a(2) and 319d WILL NOT APPLY. IF BOOK AVERAGES ARE NOT USED: Verification should accompany entry blank, if possible, otherwise it MUST be brought at the time of bowling and presented to the Tournament Manager. It is each bowler’s responsibility to verify the accuracy of her average, whether originally submitted by the bowler, the team captain or others. Team Captains verify that Certified USBC MEMBERSHIP (2019-2020) is current and that the members belong to one of the Tri-Counties Associations.
  • BOWLERS ENTERING SINGLES MUST ALSO ENTER DOUBLES AND VISA VERSA. 
  • HANDICAP: This tournament is on a handicap basis at 90% of 220, based on a three (3) game series.
  • Pacers will not be allowed.
  • Teams wishing to cross lanes together MUST request in writing & mail entries together.
  • Entrants are requested to wear appropriate bowling attire. NO SHORT SHORTS OR TANK TOPS.
  • Spectators are not allowed in the area behind the bowling area; only in the common area of the center.

ENTRIES CLOSE OCTOBER 26,2019 AND MUST BE POSTMARKED ON OR BEFORE THIS DATE. ALL ENTRY FEES MUST ACCOMPANY ENTRY FORM.

Team captains MUST check-in one (1) hour before scheduled time to bowl. All changes and substitutions MUST be made with the Tournament Manager. Each entrant is required to present her 2019-2020 USBC card or receipt at check-in. Bowler ID# must be provided. If a bowler has not received her new card, please bring last year’s card. Host association will not be responsible for providing a substitute list. This tournament shall be sanctioned and USBC Rules and Regulations shall apply in case of a dispute.

DISCLAIMER: By the signature of our team captain, acting as our agent, we hereby make application and tender our fees to participate in the Annual Tri-Counties Tournament. We agree to abide by all rules, regulations and provisions as prescribed by the Tournament Committee and we further agree that in the event circumstances beyond the control of the Tournament Committee arise before or during the scheduled tournament in part or in its entirety, the Tournament Committee shall not be liable for the payments of cash prizes, medals or other awards. Entrants that have bowled will be refunded that portion of the fees allocated to the prize fund based on the number of participants in each event. Entrants not having bowled will be refunded fees allocated to the prize fund, bowling and monitors.
